Beverly Hills Pipe Break Water Loss

Challenge

Client had a pipe break in his house. Among other things, hardwood floors were affected. Drying the hardwood floors in place would save a lot of money and the inconvenience of having to remove and replace them. Drywall ceiling was affected and had partially collapsed prior to our response. Client also needed to have pipe fixed as soon as possible so water could be restored throughout the house.

Solution

We responded immediately to the loss and set specialty drying equipment to dry the hardwood floors. Containment was set to create a smaller drying chamber to assist in drying the hardwood floors quicker. We also coordinated for a plumber to respond initially so that the plumbing repair could be made and water could be restored throughout all areas of the house. Contents and personal belongings were carefully removed from affected areas as was necessary to allow for mitigation. Collapsed drywall was cleaned up and additional drywall was cut as was necessary to allow for proper mitigation. The hardwood floors were salvaged from the immediate response and the quick set-up of specialty drying equipment.
