If you or a loved one is suffering in silence from hoarding, the most compassionate action is to return the home into a safe and habitable environment.

Hoarding has been diagnosed as a behavioral disease and can begin as a coping mechanism after a traumatic event. What started as simple packing away or storing of items can lead to a serious deterioration of the indoor air quality as items accumulate over time.

Storing trash and mounds of material items can lead to the development of biohazardous waste as mold begins to grow, food rots and insects infest the cluttered areas. This can inhibit the hoarder’s health, leading to death in very extreme cases.

Our primary goal is to restore the home into a safe and habitable space, which requires the removal of the clutter and proper cleaning techniques once space is cleared.

Choose On-Site Specialty Cleaning & Restoration for Hoarding Cleanup

Restoring a property from hoarding behaviors can be extremely stressful and overwhelming. We understand there are many emotions involved, and that it can be a very delicate situation for everyone involved. The solution to hoarding requires much more than clearing out the excess clutter. It requires a team effort between the family, the individual’s therapist and a trained and certified hoarding cleanup professional.

If you suspect a loved one may be a hoarder, it is time to seek out professional help.

Our Process

Identify the Severity of the Situation
We will completely evaluate the property to see what types of hazards are present. We look for mold, animal feces, trash and anything else that could be harmful to property.
Propose a Removal and Cleaning Strategy
We will communicate our plan of action to the family members and explain what we are planning on removing and how we will sanitize and clean the space.
Sort Items That Will Stay
Usually the most difficult part of the process is deciding which items will stay and which will be thrown away.
Restore the Property to a Habitable Condition
The environment in which the hoarder resides is extremely dangerous and must be cleaned as quickly as possible. Once the clutter is cleared, we can get to work by removing and restoring mold infested areas, sanitizing newly exposed surfaces and returning the property to a safe place to live.
