The property had been experiencing ongoing water intrusion originating from a compromised roof system. During a severe summer storm, a sudden and significant influx of water entered the building, impacting 100% of the customer’s office space and creating an urgent risk of widespread structural and environmental damage.
Solution
Upon notification, our team mobilized immediately and arrived on site with multiple truck-mounted water extraction units to begin large-scale water removal without delay. We executed rapid, controlled extraction and strategic demolition of compromised materials to mitigate further damage, limit moisture migration, and protect unaffected portions of the structure from secondary impacts such as swelling, warping, and microbial growth.
During the initial demolition phase, we identified substantial hidden mold contamination within wall cavities and building assemblies—an elevated health and safety concern for the occupants. We collaborated closely with the customer to design and implement a comprehensive mold remediation protocol, including containment, removal of affected materials, air quality controls, and post-remediation verification. This process ensured the building was restored to a safe, compliant, and habitable condition.
Through decisive action, technical expertise, and clear communication, we successfully stabilized the loss, minimized long-term risk, and guided the customer through a complex environmental restoration process with professionalism and transparency.
